A note for Peter, at the firm

The matrix shows what your people can do. I help you see how they are.

The human factor, added to the work your people already do.

Doing wellSomething shiftingNeeding supportSomeone asking how you are

Hi Peter, this is Ho. We spoke in May, introduced by Richard. Let me take this as an opportunity to remind you of the conversation we had then, and to share what I would like to discuss with you next.

What I would like to propose

Two ways we could begin.

Proposal 1

Training and workshops for your line managers and career advisors

What

Practical skills for the human side of the conversation: emotional intelligence, empathy, listening that lands, and the habit of noting and returning to what someone told you.

How

Small groups, built around real situations from your teams, shaped with you beforehand so it fits the firm.

How long

A first cohort over a couple of months, then we look at it together and decide what comes next.

If you allow me, this can grow: a short confidential read on how your people experience the firm as an employer, and from that a roadmap for engagement, culture and identity.
Proposal 2

A guest voice at your annual gathering

What

A talk to one of your values, Humanity perhaps, and what the human side of good management looks like on an ordinary Tuesday.

How

Shaped around your people and where the firm is heading, with your input before I stand up.

How long

One session, around forty minutes.

The message underneath: looking after people takes nothing away from the work. At the very least it sits comfortably alongside delivery, and at its best it propels your people forward. A lighter way for your teams to meet the idea, and for the two of us to begin.

Let me tell you the rationale behind why I am suggesting this, and where it fits in your organisation.

But first, a reminder of what we discussed

In May, you told me about the drive to manage your people better.

You described a skills matrix you were introducing: a clear view of the skills the firm holds today, and where the gaps sit. You also said HR was becoming a more active function, where before that work had rested with your line managers.

And you spoke about the heart of the job: developing people across the job families you rely on, business analysis, consulting, change management, development, and more. The challenge, as you put it, is operationalising those job families and the skills matrix.

I owe you a word on the wait. It has taken me longer than I wanted to come back to you, and the reason is simple: I was determined to arrive with something complete rather than a promise. In that time I formalised the offering, built a website and an identity, stepped out on LinkedIn, and brought a first colleague alongside me.

The groundwork is done. What I bring you now is ready to use.

Where I fit

You have the right people. I strengthen how they do it.

Every person at the firm has a career advisor, and every team a line manager. They already carry the human side of the firm, and they are the ones who make a job family and a skills matrix real, person by person. I come alongside them, and the three of us work with the same person at the centre.

The matrix maps what a person can do. Your advisors and managers are how it becomes a conversation.

Your values

Your values are the bedrock. Each one carries its share.

Responsibility, Humility, Teamwork, Commitment, Humanity. Five values standing side by side, each holding up the same firm. Two of them, Humility and Humanity, are the ones that face a person directly, and those are the two my work serves. Your B Corp commitments and the sustainability recognition you have held since 2018 say you mean them.

I would like to enhance and extend the values the firm is built upon, by applying them practically and intentionally in your employees’ lives, day in and day out.

Why this matters to me

I once needed it myself.

After my father passed away, I was not myself for a while, and work slipped away from me.

What would have reached me was a conversation that opened with me, not my performance. I am so sorry. How are you. We want to give you space and support, so that you can come back to yourself and to what you are capable of.

When a person feels that intention, they carry it with them for a long time.

A reminder about me

I know the work your consultants are asked to do.

Twenty five years in consulting, beginning at Capgemini UK, delivering major ERP programmes across SAP, Oracle, Dynamics and Salesforce. That is the same ground your teams stand on, so I understand the firm's business and what is asked of a consultant on a Monday morning.

What I bring you is that delivery background merged with operational excellence, portfolio management, and a real passion for people and culture. Integrity of character first, supported by credentials.

What I built in the meantime

Trinity, put together properly.

Formalised

A clear offering, and a website that says what it is.

Identity

A name and a mark of its own. See the mark.

Present

Out in the open on LinkedIn.

Grown

A first colleague, Gal, alongside me.

The mark

Trinity's philosophy is embedded in the logo.

The pause matters as much as the speech. Rest and reflection are where people work out what they mean. It is this feeling of rest, pause and stillness that I would like to bring to the firm as you engage with your employees.

An invitation

To Peter,

I am eager to hear your thoughts on this proposal. Then I would love the opportunity to engage with your team, to discuss it together and agree a solution that feels perfect for the firm. That would be a privilege for me.
